Golden Eclipse Granite, Cromwell CT
Golden Eclipse Granite was a bold choice for this Cromwell kitchen in a vintage 1980's contemporary design home. The 1980's white laminate was gutted and replaced with a 180 degree design choice. The space has low natural light and the first thought would have been to make the room light & bright. But this homeowner chose to go with dark wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances and the Golden Eclipse Granite which is a black stone with swirls of silver, tiger eye yellow gold and flecks of quartz. The granite island is lit with pendant lights and the countertop work space is well lit with halogen lighting. A Scabas tumbled Travertine tile with mosaic mural compliments the stone. The floor is natural Travertine noce tile. The kitchen features a Golden Eclipse Granite side board/buffet which wraps around the wall into the formal dining room. The overall effect is a very dramatic design.
