Black Soapstone, Bianco Sardo Granite, Absolute Black - Kitchen Countertops & Island, Glastonbury CT
The homeowners of this project chose 3 different stones for their kitchen; Bianco Sardo aka Luna Pearl granite for the countertops, Absolute Black with a honed finish for the upper tier of the island and black-grey soapstone for the lower cooking surface of the island. Note the two pictures of the soapstone. The before picture which shows the soapstone with its natural finish and the after picture showing the soapstone after its first coat of mineral oil. The kitchen features a porcelain farm sink with a custom designed fluted drain board cut into the granite. The stone was purchased at PMI in N.J. www.pmirock.com.
