Delicatus & Absolute Black Granite, Cromwell, CT.
Traditional design with a contemporary edge. The outer counter space has been topped with Delicatus granite. Delicatus is Latin for "delicate or tender". While this granite's performance as a countertops is equal to that of any other the composition of the stone makes it difficult to quarry and requires extra care during the fabrication process.
Delicatus has a creamy white background with a snowflake like patter of black veins, flecks of quartz and metallic copper. The Delicatus works especially well with the Absolute Black granite on the island top and butler's pantry bar. The homeowner chose stainless steel appliances and a backsplash of glass mosaic tiles which picks up the colors of the Delicatus.
